    'Benedict Blue Eyes' is a Tardiana-type hosta with beautiful blue-green foliage and thick substance. This medium-sized plant, 11 to 18 inches high, is one of many non-registered cultivars from Dr. Ralph Benedict of Michigan. The heart-shaped, cupped leaves are also moderately corrugated, making it a stunning addition to any garden. Very rare and our plant was purchased at an AHS annual auction for over $100 USD.

    This seedling of H. pycnophylla is named for a hosta lover named Jim Hawes. It has quirky foliage (think tiny ripples and a curled tip). Initially, it's a bright, slightly chartreuse yellow. It then slowly fades toward chartreuse throughout the season. As the season ends, it is a limey chartreuse and never darkens to green. Its flowers are attractively striped bluish-purple, but it rarely sets seed.
