'Jet Black' is an incredible hosta with vibrant blue foliage covered with white wax. As the season progresses, the leaves transition to a deep, rich color, almost black. This hosta is a true standout in any garden with vigorous growth and beautiful white flowers in mid-summer.
This seedling of H. pycnophylla is named for a hosta lover named Jim Hawes. It has quirky foliage (think tiny ripples and a curled tip). Initially, it's a bright, slightly chartreuse yellow. It then slowly fades toward chartreuse throughout the season. As the season ends, it is a limey chartreuse and never darkens to green. Its flowers are attractively striped bluish-purple, but it rarely sets seed.
Developed by Bob Kuk in Ohio, this sport of H. 'Josephine' boasts a large size (20 inches high) and glossy, corrugated foliage with good substance. It also produces pale purple flowers on tall scapes (33 inches tall) in late July through August.

'Lemon Smoothie' is a unique and rare cultivar originating from the expert work of Monty and Julie Carlson of Minnesota. Its hybrid parentage, possibly including H. longipes var. latifolia 'Urajiro Hachijo', creates a one-of-a-kind plant with a distinct appearance and growth pattern. As we have never divided or sold this variety before, it is a unique addition to any collection. Not available in Canada or the USA.
