Summer 2026 Shipping Information

At Hosta Choice Gardens, we treat every order with the same care we give our mother plants. Before any plant leaves our nursery in Bécancour, QC, it is personally verified as True to Type and packaged to arrive in the best possible condition. We monitor local weather forecasts at your delivery location and will contact you by phone before your order ships to confirm you are ready to receive it.

Current Shipping Schedule

All spring orders have been shipped. New orders received by Sunday at noon will be dispatched on Monday or Tuesday of the following week.

Free Shipping

Orders over $175.00 before tax qualify for free shipping anywhere in Canada, fulfilled via Canada Post Expedited Parcel Service. Orders to British Columbia are subject to a $15.00 surcharge, which applies even when the free shipping threshold has been met.

Standard Shipping

For orders under $175.00, shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location, package weight, and carrier selection. Two carriers are available:

Purolator — reliable door-to-door delivery across Canada.
Canada Post — well-suited for rural and remote addresses.

Orders to British Columbia are subject to a $15.00 surcharge in addition to the calculated shipping rate.

Adding to an Existing Order

New cultivars are added to our catalogue regularly throughout the season. If you would like to add a cultivar to an existing order before it ships, please contact us and we will include it at no additional shipping cost. This applies to all orders right up until your shipping confirmation is sent.

A Note on Shipping Rates

Due to ongoing volatility in fuel prices, our free shipping offer and its terms are subject to change or withdrawal at any time without prior notice. Standard shipping rates are subject to carrier adjustments beyond our control. We will communicate any significant changes as promptly as possible and appreciate your understanding.
