Description

A Joyful Spiral of Wavy Green and Creamy White

Wm. Meyer originated Hosta 'Wheee!' as a sport of 'Leola Fraim', registered in 2024. It is part of the Proven Winners® Shadowland® collection and holds Plant Patent PP23,565. The narrow ovate leaves emerge with unusual curled shoots that unfurl into an intensely wavy, twisted clump. A creamy white undulating margin of variable width frames each leaf against a medium green centre. It grows fast and reliably across Canadian hardiness zones 3–9.

Intensely Wavy and Twisted: Leaves are intensely wavy and lightly twisted and folded overall, creating a dynamic, sculptural clump unlike any standard variegated hosta.
Curled Spring Emergence: Shoots emerge in an unusual curled form before unfurling into a symmetrical clump of very curly, wavy leaves — a seasonal spectacle in itself.
Undulating Creamy Margin: The creamy white margin varies in width from 0.3 to 2.0 cm, following the leaf’s wavy edge to create an organic, hand-painted effect.
Glaucous Underside: A glaucous bloom on the leaf underside adds a subtle frosted quality, contrasting with the dull upper surface for a two-sided visual interest.
Proven Winners® Shadowland® Pedigree: Part of the Proven Winners® Shadowland® programme and protected under Plant Patent PP23,565, confirming its elite breeding credentials.

Feature	Specification
Size (H × W)	28 cm × 75 cm (11" × 29.5")
Hardiness Zone	3–9
Colour	Medium green with creamy white undulating margin
Light Requirements	Partial to full shade

Grower's Tip: The curled spring emergence is part of this cultivar’s character — allow it to unfurl fully before assessing the wavy leaf form. At our Bécancour, QC trial fields, we verify the signature wavy, twisted habit and creamy margin before every plant ships True to Type.
