Return / Refund Policy

At Hosta Choice Gardens, we want to ensure that every customer is satisfied with their purchase so that they will refer us to their friends and family members. Please carefully read our return/refund policy to understand your rights and responsibilities. We are committed to providing you with the highest quality hostas and the best customer experience.

1. Satisfaction Guarantee:

We guarantee that your hostas will arrive healthy, disease-free, and authentic to their name. If you are not satisfied with the state of your order upon arrival, don't hesitate to contact us within 7 days.

2. Reporting Issues:

Please get in touch with us within 48 hours of receiving your hostas if they arrive damaged or in poor condition. Please include a photo(s) of the plant(s) and the package in which they came.

If you receive an incorrect order, promptly contact us with your order number and a detailed description. Once we receive your concerns, we will review the information and pictures you provided and contact you with instructions and written authorization for returning the plants, if necessary.                      

3. Return Process :

Please note that we cannot accept returns of plants that have been planted. Once a plant has been introduced to a new environment, there is a risk of exposure to diseases and parasites that could spread to our nursery stock. For the health and safety of all our plants, we cannot accept such returns. Please ensure you inspect your new plants thoroughly upon arrival and before planting. 

4. Refunds and Replacements :

We offer refunds or exchanges to customers who receive damaged or incorrectly packaged plants. Our policy guarantees no additional cost to you. 

We take great care to ensure our plants are healthy and accurately represented. However, as living organisms, plants can be sensitive to environmental changes beyond our control once they leave our care. Therefore, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds/exchanges for plants simply because a customer has changed their mind after delivery. We encourage you to carefully review all plant descriptions and available images before purchasing. 

5. Conditions for Returns :

Before you ship any plants back to us, you must contact us and receive a return confirmation number and authorization letter. No refunds or exchanges will be made without prior authorization, and the plant(s) have arrived safely at our nursery. 

To ensure the health and well-being of our plants during the return process, we require them to be returned in their original packaging. This specialized packaging protects the plant(s) from damage during transit. Please also include any original shipping documents to help us identify your order. We will gladly sign for any package you send should you wish to send it with a "signature required" request. 

6. Original Shipping Costs:

As the customer, you are responsible for the original shipping costs, which are non-refundable. 
We will always pay the shipping costs for any replacement plant(s) if we need to send them due to damage or an error. We will also pay for the return of the original plant(s) to our nursery.
