Order Placed (w/only "preorder" items) Understanding your invoice.
When you place an order for items marked as "preordered," it is essential to understand the financial implications associated with your purchase. This page will clarify the payment structure and timelines involved in your transaction.
Upon placing your order for "preorder" items, a deposit of 50% of the item's total cost is required. This deposit secures your order and allows us to prepare for the fulfillment of your request.
The full applicable taxes on your selected items, including HST, GST, or QST, will not be charged at the time of ordering. Instead, these taxes will be applied to your final invoice payment on July 7, 2025. This means that while you will not see the full tax amount reflected in your initial invoice, please be prepared for this charge on the specified date.
Shipping costs, however, are payable at the time of order placement. This means that when you complete your transaction, the shipping fees, along with any applicable taxes, will be charged immediately. It is crucial to account for these costs in your budget when placing a "preorder".
Customers should be aware that they have the flexibility to cancel a partially paid preorder before the order is fulfilled, allowing for changes in circumstances or preferences. If your preorder is ready ahead of schedule we will contact you by email to see if you are ready to receive your hostas. Balances owing on preorders must be cleared before shipping can take place.
On July 7, 2025, all remaining charges, including the balance of the items purchased and applicable taxes, will be automatically charged to your original method of payment. It is advisable to ensure that your payment method remains valid- please contact us well in advance if you wish to change your payment method for the outstanding balance.
In summary, understanding the payment structure for "preordered" items is vital for a smooth transaction experience. By being aware of the deposit requirements, tax implications, shipping costs, and cancellation policies, you can make informed decisions regarding your "preorder" purchases.
