The large, broadly ovate leaves carry a rich medium-green centre framed by wide, golden-yellow margins that persist with strong contrast throughout the growing season. Foliage is thick and heavily corrugated with prominent veining and a robust, upright form inherited from its Abiqua Recluse parentage. It grows vigorously across Canadian hardiness zones 3–9 and is notably sun tolerant for a large variegated hosta. Use it as an architectural focal point in a large perennial bed or as a bold anchor at the back of a shaded border.
