A Luminous Broad-Bordered Marvel of the Shade Garden
Hosta 'Beyond Glory' is a sport of 'Old Glory' selected for its exceptionally wide dark green margin. The margin can reach up to 7.5 cm (3") across — nearly double the width of its parent. The gold centre emerges chartreuse in spring and transitions to a rich beryl-gold through summer. Heavy, slightly corrugated leaf substance gives it strong slug resistance across Canadian zones 3–9. Use it as a glowing focal point in shaded borders or woodland gardens.

-
Seasonal Glow: The leaf colour shifts from fresh spring chartreuse to a rich, sun-kissed beryl-gold, all while maintaining its deep green border.
-
Slug-Resistant Texture: Thick, slightly corrugated leaves offer a durable, leathery substance that shrugs off common garden pests with ease.
-
Mid-Summer Elegance: Dainty spikes of pale lavender flowers rise above the mounded foliage in July, adding a soft vertical element to its broad, horizontal form.

Grower's Tip: Give 'Beyond Glory' a few hours of gentle morning sun to maximise the contrast between the gold centre and wide green margins. At our Bécancour, QC trial fields, we verify those signature wide margins are present and stable before every plant ships True to Type.
