Description

A Full Circle of Elegance in the Shade Garden

Doug and Mardy Beilstein registered Hosta 'Victory Lap' in 2021 from a cross with 'Blue Mammoth'. A wide white margin 3.8 cm (1.5") across makes a full circuit around every nearly round leaf. The leaves are moderately corrugated with a slight convex cup and 17–18 vein pairs. It grows reliably across Canadian hardiness zones 3–9. Use it as a bold focal point in shaded borders where its circular form creates strong architectural contrast.

Exquisite Puckering: The strong leaf veins are moderately corrugated, creating beautiful streams of colour that flow from the white edges back toward the cool blue-green centre.
Perfectly Rounded Form: The nearly round, cordate-based leaf shape provides a unique architectural contrast to hostas with more pointed or elongated foliage.
High-Contrast Variegation: The wide white margin 3.8 cm (1.5") across stays crisp and bright against the deep blue-green interior, visible from across the garden.
Beilstein Pedigree: Bred from a cross with 'Blue Mammoth', this large hosta inherits exceptional vigour and substance that holds through the Canadian summer.

Feature	Specification
Size (H × W)	56 cm × 96.5 cm (22" × 38")
Hardiness Zone	3–9
Colour	Blue-green centre with wide white margin
Light Requirements	Partial to full shade

Grower's Tip: 'Victory Lap' handles Canadian winters with ease from Zone 3 through 9, and the full 360-degree white margin circuit is best appreciated once the plant has fully emerged in spring. We grow it at our nursery in Bécancour, QC and wait for every plant to show its complete margin and corrugation before it ships. Our True to Type standard means you receive the authentic 'Victory Lap', verified before it leaves Bécancour.
