Jeff Moore of Wisconsin bred Hosta 'Hammerin Cameron' from 'Blue Cascade' crossed with 'Purple Heart'. He named it for his grandson, selecting it for glaucous blue foliage and bright pink-red petioles on a distinctly upright form. Long, narrow leaves carry rambunctious ruffled margins that add a sense of movement to the border. It performs reliably across Canadian hardiness zones 3–9, making it a strong choice for most growing regions. Use it as a bold accent in shady borders or a container where the colourful stems show at eye level.
