A Classic with a Refined Two-Toned Palette
Hosta 'Patricia' is a compact medium cultivar from hybridizer G. Heemskerk, registered in 2005 as a sport of H. 'Birchwood Parky's Gold'. Heemskerk captured a refined reversal of that parent's palette — a slightly blue-green centre framed by a greenish-yellow, slightly rippled margin that brightens the shade border with a warm, luminous edge. The broadly ovate, lightly wavy leaves are dull on both surfaces, giving the foliage a soft, matte quality that suits naturalistic and woodland garden styles. Bell-shaped medium lavender flowers arrive on glaucous green scapes from June through mid-July. It performs reliably across Canadian hardiness zones 3 through 9. PBR7263 QZ.

Grower's Tip: 'Patricia' handles Canadian winters with ease from Zone 3 through 9, and in our experience it grows considerably larger than its registered dimensions — give it room to reach its full potential. At our nursery in Bécancour, QC, we verify the signature blue-green centre and greenish-yellow margin before shipping. Our True to Type standard means you receive the authentic G. Heemskerk selection, not a generic Birchwood Parky's Gold sport.
