Description

The impressive size and growth

Hosta 'Titanic' is renowned for its enormous size, striving to surpass the 9-foot wide record set by its parent, H. 'Sum and Substance'. This cultivar is remarkable for gardeners who value large, attention-grabbing plants. Its expansive growth, easily reaching widths of 4–5 feet, makes it a prime choice for showcasing in ample garden spaces. Whether placed solo or within plant groupings, 'Titanic' commands a space with authority.

Distinctive foliage appearance

The appeal of Hosta 'Titanic' lies not just in its size but also in its striking leaf design. The leaves present a glossy chartreuse-green colour, highlighted by an exceptionally wide golden border that is prominent even when the plant is young. These bold colour contrasts contribute to its ornamental value and ensure that this hosta remains a focal point throughout the growing season.

Midsummer blooms add interest

In midsummer, 'Titanic' boasts pale lavender flowers that elegantly rise above the lush foliage. These blooms offer seasonal interest and additional charm to your garden display. Their presence complements the plant’s architectural structure, creating a vibrant display. Allocate a choice location in your garden to let this dramatic and stylish hosta shine.
